Applied Health Science, BS
Promoting a healthy lifestyle is your passion. Helping you achieve your goal is ours.
If you have an Associate of Science, an Associate of Arts, or at least 30 credit hours of course work that can be applied toward a university degree, the Bachelor of Science in Applied Health Science can prepare you to work in a variety of health fields.
To get your BS in Applied Health Science, you transfer up to 64 credit hours to Indiana University. You then complete 60 credit hours of 300- and 400-level courses from IU. You choose one of two tracks: community health educator or health administration.
The BS in Applied Health Science is jointly offered by IU East, IU Kokomo, IU Northwest, IU South Bend, and IU Southeast.
Here's how the degree program works: you enroll at one of the participating campuses, and this campus becomes your home campus, or campus of enrollment. You may then register for classes offered by your home campus or by any of other participating campuses. Your home campus will apply the credits you earn toward your BS in Applied Health Science.
When you have completed all degree requirements, you receive a high-quality IU degree at your home campus. The placement office on your home campus will help you find appropriate employment.
