Health Information Management and Exchange (Graduate Certificate)
Technology enables us to create increasingly sophisticated methods of health data collection and integration. With this sophistication comes the need for practitioners skilled in the timely collection, management, retrieval, exchange, and analysis of electronic health information.
As a student in this 18 credit hour program, you complete five graduate courses and a mentored practicum. Core courses cover such topics as health information exchange, security and privacy policies and regulations for healthcare, business of health informatics, foundations of health informatics, and health informatics standards and terminology. The mentored practicum provides the opportunity to synthesize the course work and demonstrate competency in the role of an EHR Implementation Analyst.
