EFL/ESL Teacher Training (Graduate Certificate)
Advancements in technology, combined with globalization of business and communication, continue to broaden the spectrum of environments where teachers skilled in English as a foreign language (EFL) or English as a second language (ESL) are needed.
The EFL/ESL Teacher Training Program prepares teachers to train colleagues through its emphasis on mentoring, supervision, and literacy coaching.
As a student in the program, you complete 12 credit hours of graduate course work. You take required courses in approaches to instruction and assessment, language policy and planning, and mentorship and literacy coaching of EFL/ESL teachers. You also complete a practicum in language education.
