Education Law (Graduate Certificate)
Educational legal issues effect teachers and administrators on a daily basis. This online program was designed for professionals who want to develop a deeper knowledge base of educational legal issues.
As a student in the program, you complete 15 hours of graduate credit, derived from four required courses and one elective course. The required courses cover problems in educational leadership, legal perspectives in education, and advanced school law. And because special education is the most litigious area of school law, A675 Leadership in Special Education is a required course in this program.
Your elective course can be a graduate-level course offered through the School of Education, School of Public and Environmental Affairs or Maurer School of Law. Select a course that is focused on your research or career interests. Some courses may not be offered online. Please see the delivery method in the Schedule of Classes to confirm.
