Master Of Public Health
The IU Online Master of Public Health in Epidemiology (IU Bloomington) prepares students for leadership roles in public health, academia, and the private sector. Graduates of the program will be able to perform epidemiologic analyses that impact health and disease management and to contribute to the understanding of disease etiologies.
As a student in this program, you examine patterns of disease, disease prevention, and wellness. You develop skills in study design and research methodology that enable you to improve public health through research and practice. You study the social and lifestyle determinants that affect public health.
Degree Requirements
To earn the MPH in Epidemiology (IU Bloomington), you must complete a total of 44 to 50 credit hours. Requirements are broken down as follows:
- MPH degree core courses (23 credit hours)
- Epidemiology concentration courses (12 credit hours)
- Additional MPH concentration courses or electives (9–15 credit hours)
