Undergraduate Certificate
The IU Online Undergraduate Certificate in Events Management allows you to select courses pertaining to a wide array of events management careers. The program prepares students for careers in planning corporate and nonprofit meetings and events, as well as planning special events such as weddings, conferences, and festivals.
As a student in the program, you take courses in convention and meeting management, special event management, sports events management, meeting planning logistics, convention and meeting sales, exhibit marketing, international meeting planning, and nonprofit meeting management. In addition to courses offered through Tourism, Conventions, and Event Management, students can select from a number of related specialty courses from the Kelley School of Business, the Department of Organizational Leadership and Supervision, the School of Public and Environmental Affairs, the School of Journalism, and the Department of Museum Studies. You also complete an internship in events management.

Certificate Requirements
To earn the Undergraduate Certificate in Events Management, you must complete 19 credit hours.
Requirements are broken down as follows:
- Events management core courses (9 credit hours)
- Elective courses (9 credit hours)
- Event management internship (1 credit hour)
