The curriculum is based on International Facility Management Association guidelines and covers a wide range of topics, with emphasis on project and contract management, engineering systems management, and energy management. You learn to identify, analyze, and solve broadly-defined facility management-related problems. You also acquire an understanding of and a commitment to addressing professional and ethical responsibilities, and an understanding of the impact of decisions in a societal and global context.

Degree Requirements

To graduate with the MS in Technology, Facilities Management Emphasis, you must complete 33 credit hours.

Requirements are broken down as follows:

  • Facilities management core courses (30 credit hours)
  • Facilities management directed project (3 credit hours)


To be accepted to this program, you must have:
  1. Admission is open to those with a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or those with a bachelor's degree in an unrelated field who can demonstrate experience in the facilities management profession. The GRE is not required.
