Cultural Heritage Tourism

Today, the tourism environment is more diverse and global than ever due to the integration of economies, societies and cultures. The Cultural Heritage Tourism Certificate program comprises a curriculum designed to give you a culturally diverse and global perspective.

As a student in the program, you complete 18 credit hours of course work. You learn about tourism systems, the development and management of attractions, marketing food and lodging services, industry trends in hospitality and tourism, geography, and global tourism. In addition, you complete an internship in a tourism industry.

Upon successful completion of the certificate, you will have a broad understanding of cultural heritage tourism and event management across cultures, communities, and countries.
