The International Facility Management Association defines facility management as a profession that encompasses multiple disciplines to ensure functionality of the built environment by integrating people, place, process, and technology.

The M.S. in Technology: Facilities Management Emphasis is designed for working professionals.

You will share a virtual classroom with facility management professionals from around the world while earning a Purdue University degree. As a student in the program, you complete 33 credit hours of course work, including a capstone independent study project.

Courses are based on International Facility Management Association guidelines and cover a wide range of topics, with emphasis on project and contract management, engineering systems management, and energy management. Core subject areas include energy management, contract management, maintenance and operation, planning, finances, engineering systems, telecommunications infrastructure, project management, and more.
