The IU Bloomington Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management explores the nonprofit sector and nonprofit management issues. The curriculum is designed to strengthen your performance in the areas of fundraising and development, managing nonprofit social services, and parks and recreation.

As a student in the program, you take courses in human resource management in nonprofit organizations, management in the nonprofit sector, and financial management for nonprofit organizations.

Certificate Requirements

To earn the Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management, you must complete 15 credit hours.

Requirements are broken down as follows:

  • SPEA elective courses (6 credit hours) 

NOTE: If you choose to pursue the IU Online Master of Public Affairs, these certificate courses may apply to your degree requirements. Completion of the certificate program does not guarantee admission to the graduate program.
