Certificate Requirements

To earn the Graduate Certificate in Teaching in Nursing, you must complete a minimum of 17 credit hours, including a 150-hour supervised teaching practicum.

Requirements are broken down as follows:

  • Teaching in nursing core courses (14 credit hours) 
  • Nursing education practicum (3 credit hours) 

NOTE: For nurses who already hold an MSN degree in another specialty, completion of the certificate program fulfills the educational eligibility requirements for the National League for Nursing Certification for Nurse Educators program.
