Undergraduate

We’re committed to making the application process as simple as possible. Undergraduate students can submit our 10-minute IU Online application free of charge. Questions along the way? Contact us anytime at iuoapply@iu.edu or 844-445-0117.

Graduate

Applicants to graduate programs can start the application process by submitting our graduate form. We’ll forward your information to the academic department offering your intended program. The department will follow up with you on next steps. If you have any questions about getting started, direct them to iuograd@iu.edu or 833-930-2092.

After the department has contacted you, you’ll have the information you need to fill out the university’s official graduate program application, the IU Graduate CAS. Please refer to our frequently asked questions and this how-to video for assistance in completing the Graduate CAS.

Transcript request service

IU Online can request transcripts at no cost to most undergraduate applicants and to those applying to selected graduate programs.

If you're applying to an undergraduate program, you can opt-in to the transcript request service when you fill out the IU Online application.

If you're applying to a graduate program, we'll send you a link for opting-in to the transcript request service after you submit your application. Get started by submitting our graduate form.

If for some reason we are unable to retrieve your transcript(s), we’ll notify you right away.

International students

If you are an international applicant, you must apply directly to the campus offering your intended online degree program or course. We are happy to connect you with an international student services representative for assistance with the application process.

Information sessions

Come to one of our monthly information sessions. Representatives from undergraduate admissions, graduate admissions, and financial aid services will be on hand to field all the questions you throw their way.
