Environmental Health, MPH

Master of Public Health

As threats to environmental health continue to increase, we face a growing shortage of trained environmental health professionals. The IU Online Master of Public Health in Environmental Health prepares students to meet this need by delivering the technical skills to manage environmental risks and communicate them to the public.

As a student in this program, you work toward solving some of today's most consequential environmental and occupational health challenges, including climate change, food safety, hazardous waste management, worker health and safety, and disaster management. You develop the skills to analyze how susceptible populations are affected by environmental exposures and conditions. You seek to identify, minimize, and prevent the adverse impacts of environmental hazards to human health.
