Success coaching and academic advising
IU Online students receive one-on-one support to help them reach their personal and academic goals. Undergraduate and graduate students are assigned an academic advisor, and undergraduate students enjoy the added benefit of a personal success coach after their first year.
Your academic advisor determines how previously earned credits apply to your IU program requirements and helps you create schedules, enroll in classes, and stay on track to graduate. For graduate online collaborative programs, you can contact your academic advisor at iuograd@iu.edu. For undergraduate, you can contact your academic advisor at iuougadv@iu.edu.
The undergraduate success coaches are more like personal cheerleaders. They’re here to help you navigate the university system and serve as your point of contact to your home campus. You can contact your success coach at iuocoach@iu.edu.

Undergraduate students enjoy free, direct access to IU-trained math mentors and writing consultants, 24/7.
The Online Math Center is here to help with math questions through Calculus II. Additionally, math mentors are available to help you prepare for quizzes and exams and to share study tips and strategies.
The Online Writing Center helps you brainstorm ideas, write a rough draft, review grammar and punctuation, and revise a final draft—all via online consultations.
