Frequently asked questions about the IU graduate CAS

Need help filling out your IU graduate application? Watch our how-to video or find answers to commonly asked questions below.

Make sure you’re accessing the application using Google Chrome. The app performs best in this browser.

Yes. From your application dashboard, click the Add Program tab. You should be able to search for and add additional programs to your app. Use the filters button to select a specific campus or start term.

Yes, if the program's deadline has not passed and the application cycle is open. From your application dashboard, click the Add Program tab. Search for your program and then add it by clicking the + to the left of the program name.

Yes. Check out the Program Materials section in your application and upload program-specific documents for every individual program you’re applying to.

Yes. You can submit your application before your official transcripts, recommendations, or test scores are received.

Check the Submit Application tab. If you don’t see a red dot, something in your application is missing. Return to the My Application tab to see which section needs additional details. Once a section is 100 percent complete, it turns green. All sections should be green before you submit.

Your application must always have at least one program selected. To remove a program, go to the Submit Application tab and click the trashcan icon in the top-right corner of your program. You can also view the program in the Add Program tab and click the checkmark next to it to remove it.

After you hit submit on the program you’re applying to, you’ll be taken to a screen to submit your application fee. You must pay a new application fee for each program you apply to. Payments can be made via credit card, debit card, or PayPal. The application fee is not refundable.

From the application dashboard, click on your name in the top-right corner. From the dropdown menu, select My Profile. Update your phone number on this page. Save your changes. This should update your phone number in the Personal Information section of your app.

If you’re still experiencing difficulties, contact the Liaison Help Center:

Your program application may not have opened yet, or the deadline may have passed. From the application dashboard, click the Add Program tab. Click the filters button, then check the box for past programs and/or future programs, and then close. Search for your program again. Past or future programs will now be listed.

The application link is new every year. To access the spring, summer, or fall semester in a different year than listed, sign out of the application. On the application login page, there is a yellow link in the blue box. Click on it to access the application cycle for a different year.
