Master of Public Health
The IU Online MPH in Health Policy and Management prepares students for careers in public health by providing a balance of academic theory and real-world experience.
As a student in this program, you will acquire skills in policy development, implementation, and analysis. You will explore current national and state public health problems and discover the evidence-based policies used to address them. Health Policy and Management students learn how to apply ethical concepts and analytical frameworks to contemporary public health issues at all levels—local, national, international—and develop the skills to strategically manage policy within health services organizations.
Degree Requirements
To earn the MPH in Health Policy and Management, you must complete a total of 45 credit hours. Requirements are broken down as follows:
- Core courses (12 credit hours)
- Health policy and management concentration courses (18 credit hours)
- Elective courses (9 credit hours)
- Practical experience courses (6 credit hours)
