To be accepted to this program, you must have:
  • Baccalaureate from an accredited university or college with a GPA of 3.0 (official transcript)
  • Competent written and oral communication skills

Required prerequisites

You do not need to complete the prerequisites before you submit your application, but we strongly encourage you to complete them prior to enrollment in the program.

Students must earn a grade of "C" or better in required pre-requisite courses prior to enrolling. Required undergraduate pre-requisite courses include:

  • An undergraduate microeconomics course (e.g., ECON-E 201: Microeconomics or pre-approved equivalent) must be completed before you will be permitted to enroll in PBHL-H 514: Health Economics.
  • An undergraduate accounting course (e.g., PBHL-H 200: Health Care Accounting or pre-approved equivalent) must be completed before you will be permitted to enroll in PBHL-H 508: Managing Healthcare Accounting Information for Decision Making.

Students meeting these requirements are not guaranteed admission.

  • TOEFL or IELTS scores (international students)
  • World Education Services (WES) ICAP course-by-course evaluation of any foreign language credentials

Mission

The mission of the Indiana University Master of Health Administration (M.H.A.) program is to prepare healthcare leaders who will work in a variety of health service management and policy settings to advance the health and well-being of people in Indiana and beyond.

Located in downtown Indianapolis, the M.H.A. program takes advantage of its connections to one of the most dynamic healthcare markets in the region and strong alumni support to provide a wide-range of collaborative, applied, and innovative experiential learning opportunities to students and other professionals in the field.
