Degree Overview
The IU Online Master of Science in Music Technology exposes you to coursework in computer-based music technology, multimedia and interactive design, and multimedia production techniques. Acquire skills in designing software, in authoring tools and languages, in applying multimedia concepts, and in managing technology facilities and projects.
The curriculum covers the creative application of multimedia technology to video, audio, and graphic production of arts and educational materials. You’ll have the opportunity to complete either an internship in arts technology or a major arts technology project.

To be accepted to the M.S. in Music Technology, you must have:
- Bachelor's degree
- Evidence of substantial previous work in creative and/or technical areas related to music technology
To apply to the M.S. in Music Technology, submit:

- Contact details for three faculty members or professional references
- Portfolio comprising of online audio/video content demonstrating musical, computational, or other work related to music technology (minimum of 3 samples)
