Degree Overview

As a student in the Graduate Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health, you will work with internationally renowned IU faculty members and certified sexuality educators with the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) to explore research in sexual and reproductive health, create and evaluate curricula, review the epidemiology of sexual health, and build skills for seeking external funding. The curriculum aligns with AASECT content knowledge areas.

 

You also study the major systems used to survey sexual and reproductive health and explore the legal and ethical foundations of sexual and reproductive health surveillance. You learn how to apply for and manage extramural funds for sexual and reproductive health and practice activities.

To be accepted to this program, you must have:

  • A bachelor's degree
  • 2.5 GPA or above on a 4.0 scale
