Degree Overview

In the Undergraduate Certificate in Sports Tourism Development, you’ll discover the many aspects of sport event planning—site selection, logistics, personnel, marketing, economics, and legalities—and you’ll examine how sports make an impact on community and business growth.

You’ll take courses in tourism planning and development, management of sports events, and sport tourism development.

Depending on your interests, you may choose elective courses in sport journalism, sport marketing, sport sociology, or other special topics. You’ll also complete an industry internship.
